As Season 8 continues, NBA 2K21 MyTeam continues to bring content to gamers enjoying the mode and trying to progress to Level 40. On Monday, they dropped another limited-time series of packs and boxes with the NBA 2K21 MyTeam IDOLS Super Packs. These packs bring several big-name players’ Dark Matter or Galaxy Opal cards. For those who’d rather not spend on the packs, there’s also a free Reggie Jackson locker code which recently arrived.
IDOLS Super Packs available for NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8
In NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8, aka “Trial of Champions,” we’ve already seen the Gladiator Packs release to start things off. Now there are limited-time availability IDOLS Super Packs with them in the Pack Market. These feature IDOLS I and IDOLS II players including Dark Matter cards for Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, and Russell Westbrook. Other top-tier items include a chance to get Galaxy Opal cards for Yao Ming, Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura, and Larry Bird.
There are 48 cards available from IDOLS Series I and Series II in these packs, with the lowest-rated the 89 OVR Ruby cards. Those feature Fred Hoiberg, Kyle Anderson, Killian Hayes, and Tony Wroten.
These particular packs and boxes are only available for Virtual Currency, with the single five-card packs at 11,250 VC. The 10-pack boxes are 101,250 VC and 20-pack boxes go for 202,500 VC. For MyTeam fans with ample VC bankrolls, it may be worth trying to snag those top-tier cards randomly.
There are also two Collection Rewards cards available with these. For collecting all of IDOLS Series I cards, gamers get a Chris Webber 97 OVR Rewards item. For collecting all IDOLS Series II cards, gamers get a Ralph Sampson 99 OVR Rewards item.
Pink Diamond Locker Code: Reggie Jackson Moments Rewards card
On Sunday, NBA fans saw Game 7 take place between Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavs and Kawhi Leonard’s Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers won the contest at home, 126-111, to move on to the second round. Leonard led the way with 28 points on Sunday, with Jackson adding 15 points.
In Game 6, Jackson helped the Clips bounce back from their Game 5 loss thanks to his 25 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. For the series, he averaged 15.8 points with Leonard calling Jackson the “baddest man on the planet” after the Game 7 win.
In honor of Jackson’s “efforts” during the first-round playoff series, NBA 2K21 MyTeam released the Locker Code below, good for a free Pink Diamond card.
With this card, attributes include 94 Playmaking, 90 Outside Scoring, 88 Athleticism, and 84 Defending. He’ll also have 21 Gold and 27 Hall of Fame Badges. The HOF Badges are mostly in his Playmaking and Finishing categories, with just five of them in Shooting and only one for Defense/Rebounding. See full card details here.
Along with the card, there are two brand new NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8 Agendas. For one of them, gamers need to make 10 layups with Jackson over multiple games of any variety. That’s worth 300 XP. For the second of the agendas, you’ll need to make 20 3-pointers in multiple Triple Threat Offline or Online games. That’ll give another 750 XP. Completing both of these agendas is worth five NBA 2K21 Tokens.
The XP helps to get to the higher levels and ultimately to Level 40 for that Luka Doncic Dark Matter Rewards card that many MyTeam players are trying to get.
