Developers Visual Concepts have released a brand new update for NBA 2K21 across PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles.
The next-gen patch can be downloaded now and includes a number of changes that have been officially listed by the development team.
This includes an important MyTeam fix, as well as improving the likeness of several players.
A message from the NBA 2K21 team reveals: “It’s Spring in The City and the latest update features additions for the new season. Go check them out!
“We’ve also updated a number of player likeness and facial animations alongside some MyTEAM Dark Matter fixes and various general updates to improve the game’s overall performance.”
As mentioned above, one of the biggest changes that gamers will notice is that a long list of players will have updated visuals to fit in with their real-world selves.
This includes the following:

- Thomas Bryant
- Vernon Carey Jr.
- John Collins
- James Ennis
- Malachi Flynn
- Wenyen Gabriel

And like with all NBA 2K21 updates, there are probably a few tweaks that have not made it into the final next-gen patch notes.
Here is what we do know has been fixed in today’s NBA 2K21 update, which can be downloaded right now on PS5 and Xbox Series X:
- Resolved an issue that caused the names of some playbooks to disappear.
- Addressed a rare issue with Dark Matter player cards not displaying the player reveal during pack openings (MyTEAM).
- Addressed an audio issue with Dark Matter card animations (MyTEAM).
- Prep work for Season 6 of MyTEAM. It’s…peculiar.
- Various stability and performance issues have been addressed to further improve the overall experience.
