Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr.’s NBA 2K22 rating revealed

Michael Porter Jr. was dead on when asked about what he believes his overall rating in NBA 2K22 will be.

“I probably think that (my overall rating will be) 84, 85 after last season,” he told 2K Games digital marketing director Ronnie Singh in a video from NBA 2K.

He was right. The 23-year-old Nuggets forward received an 84 overall rating for the upcoming basketball video game. It’s an improvement over his initial 78 overall score in NBA 2K21, Singh said in the video.

In his first full season as a starter last year, Porter averaged career highs in points (19.0), rebounds (7.3), assists (1.1), steals (0.7), blocks (0.9), field-goal percentage (54.2%) and 3-point field-goal percentage (44.5%).

The former Nuggets first-round pick out of Missouri said he believes he can reach 90 at season’s end by “just being a more complete player.”

He is the third Nuggets player to have his overall rating revealed, following Nikola Jokic (95) and Jamal Murray (85).

NBA 2K22 is slated for a Sept. 10 release date for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
