Lonzo Ball’s NBA2K21 Rating is a Joke

The New Orleans Pelicans’ Lonzo Ball didn’t make the top-100 in NBA2K21.

The New Orleans Pelicans had three players in the top-100 in the new NBA2K21, but Lonzo Ball was not one of them.

Lonzo got the lowest rating of his career, just a 77, which is insane when you consider some of the other names on the list.

Lonzo Ball was only 5th best on his own team, ranked lower than Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram (86) and Jrue Holiday (83) which makes sense.

What doesn’t make sense is that Ball is also behind J.J. Redick (78) and tied with Derrick Favors, who was also rated at 77.

The last two make no sense as Lonzo Ball is clearly a much better all-around player than either Redick or especially Favors. It makes me wonder if the game makers even watched Favors play, as it seems an egregious error to put him anywhere near Lonzo Ball.

New Orleans Pelicans: Lonzo Ball’s NBA2k21 Rating is way too low

But it wasn’t just his own team that got more love than Lonzo Ball, as there were several guys on the top-100 list who simply aren’t as good, or are least not that much better than Lonzo.

Eric Paschall (79) and Christian Wood (80)? Is this a joke? Is there a single team in the league who would take either of these guys (or both) instead of Lonzo? Nope.

Alec Burks and Elfrid Payton are decent players but neither brings the complete package that Lonzo Ball does.

Markelle Fultz had a nice bounce back year, but he averages fewer rebounds, assists and steals than Lonzo and can’t shoot. How are they rated the same, especially when Lonzo Ball is a much better defender?

It seems like the makers of NBA2K21 are either Lonzo haters or just don’t watch enough basketball.

All of this disrespect and trade talk will surely motivate Lonzo Ball to come back even stronger, so keep it up, haters.
