MyLeague Has A Highly Underrated And Undiscussed Feature

To be clear, very little was added or upgraded with the MyLeague and MyGM modes in the current-generation version of NBA 2K21. However, there is one feature that wasn’t advertised, but was discovered by one hardcore user.

It’s called the Shared Scenario or Shared MyLeague feature.

At any point, you can save your MyLeague (progress, rosters, injury situations, records, etc) and upload it for other users in the 2K community to download.

For whatever reason, this wasn’t discussed prior to release. True enough, it’s a hard sell to fans who don’t play MyLeague, but it’s one that would have likely clicked with those of us who play the mode.

I learned of this feature after watching a video from a YouTuber named Goods. He breaks down the feature initially in the first video, and then explains how to use it in the second:

At first glance, this might not seem like much of an addition, but with some community participation, this feature could be something much bigger.

Imagine being able to play to MyLeague to any level of completion, and being able to save or share it with the community so that they can share your experience. This could facilitate challenge with custom rosters, or easily shared simulation sliders and experiences.

What’s even better, I spoke with a 2K developer about the feature, and he said it is something that might be expanded upon in the future. Depending on where this could be headed, it might be even more attractive on next-generation consoles.
