Artists Include Polo G, Youngboy NBA, And More

Clearly, NBA 2K plans to get some major usage out of its new TikTok account, at least early on in the hype stage for the upcoming NBA 2K21 release.

On Friday, days after teasing cover information on the account, 2K posted another TikTok video previewing five of the artists who will be featured on the next game’s soundtrack. Take a look:

The post features the song “Don’t I,” and it also reveals Tory Lanez, Youngboy NBA, Polo G, Roddy Ricch, and Stormzy. The specific track(s) from these artists aren’t shared, but 2K does ask its subscribers on the platform to name other artists they would like to hear in the next game.

Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Ski Mask The Slump God, XXXTentacion, and Juice WRLD are among the most often mentioned. Last year, the soundtrack was announced in July, and 2K did something different with that piece of the project.

It partnered with Steve Stoute’s United Masters to create a program that saw new music added through the life cycle of NBA 2K20. It’s still early in the 2K21 build, so it’s unclear if this or something similar will be done with NBA 2K21.

For now, perhaps there is a possibility fans can still have some input into the songs that are included in NBA 2K21 by commenting on the TikTok post above.
