It has been 10 years since Ubisoft originally released Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Since then, the game has been released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and even the Nintendo Switch. That said, video gaming companies have been very interested in remakes and remasters of older titles. Well, it seems that time may be coming soon. Kotaku has learned from “two sources familiar with the plans who asked not to be named because they were not authorized to discuss them” that Ubisoft is currently in the early stages of remaking Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. It is not expected to release for “at least a few years” and Ubisoft Singapore is heavily involved in the remake’s development. Kotaku reached out to Ubisoft, but a spokesperson declined to comment.
